Since 1999, the ISIGE has become involved in an "e-learning" project, to distribute some of the knowledge and expertise taught in its Advanced Master's programme to wider audiences (students or businesses). Our multidisciplinary staff devises, designs, scripts, and develops courses and case studies in the fields of the environment and sustainable development, as part of multi-partner thematic projects.
Under this heading you will learn about our pedagogical approach and our philosophy.

Because of our activity in e-learning, we are taking part in different networks and are carrying out most of our projects in partnership with other institutions of higher learning.
Here are the main networks in which we participate:

Because of our experience, we are taking an active role in setting up this digital university by working on the pedagogical methods in a work group, and by participating in the creation of one of the first modules on "Risk Analysis and Management".
ParisTech (http://www.paristech.org) brings together ten of the most prestigious French engineering schools, including the Ecole des Mines de Paris. Covering all engineering sciences and technologies, it is genuinely a world-class university.
ParisTech makes its training programmes and some of its educational resources available on the site for its "Free Knowledge" project. (http://graduateschool.paristech.org/)
The Grand Ecole Virtuelle project (http://gemgev.industrie.gouv.fr) brings together the six institutions of the Ecoles de Mines de France Group for projects to design and create online educational resources. The ISIGE, for example, developed the "Companies and Sustainable Development" project in collaboration with this network.
The Grande Ecole Virtuelle (GEV) network belongs to the Digital University for Engineering and Technology (UNIT, http://www.unit-c.fr).
Our current project, the pedagogical kit in hydrogeology, is consequently financed by UNIT.
